The beauty of life is that you never stop learning if you are curious

What has been your career path in the Group?

I joined Richemont in 2008 within the consolidation and reporting team in Bellevue. In 2016, I had the chance to pursue my career in Finance with Van Cleef and Arpels, adding financial planning and team management to my scope of expertise. It was a real chance to discover the beauty of a Maison’s world and be close to the operational business and functions!

In 2018, I moved back to the Group in Bellevue to take on the role of Group Finance and Planning Analysis. Here, I had a rare opportunity to work closely and provide support to the Group Senior leadership who are the key strategic decision-makers.

In 2021, I got a great opportunity to move to Richemont North America to discover new horizons, taking a leadership role overseeing the Specialist watchmakers, Fashion & Accessories Maisons, the regional functions and the master data activity. This is a great international experience and a huge life adventure! I have the chance to be surrounded by a committed and valuable team and to support a wise and brilliant leadership team.

I’m thrilled that Richemont has such a focus on mobility, as this has provided me with the opportunity to gain experience among our headquarters in Bellevue, a Maison and now a new region. These are unique learnings and opportunities, which I value a lot in my life.

What have you learned during your journey?

I have learned about commitment, dedication and excellence and most of all, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork. Everyone I’ve worked with has taught me something new, and I believe this is the true beauty of teamwork! I’ve also benefited a lot from great mentors, who have influenced me a lot throughout my career.

The beauty of life is that you never stop learning if you are curious. I am still learning every day from my exchanges, my experiences and the people around me.

How have you changed?

During my time at Richemont, I’ve grown a lot as a person. Today, I’m more mature and determined, but I’m also more patient and confident in what I do – the more skills and experiences I gained, the more confident I became. As all my positions within the Group have been support-related, I hope I have been able to impact the Group with my support, my teamwork, my mentoring and my influence on colleagues.

Above all, my career at Richemont has made me feel rich in experiences. I’ve worked with interesting people from all over the world, who have taught me new things about culture, backgrounds and values. My experiences have changed me, as I truly believe there’s always a positive meaning in every experience you have.

What impressed you or surprised you the most?

The pertinence, level of dedication and commitment from all the people I’ve had the chance to work with across Maisons, functions and regions.

What is your favourite Richemont memory?

I’ve had a wonderful journey with Richemont. My favourite must be my mobility to the US. I moved last winter when most of our lives were affected by lockdowns and remote work due to COVID-19. When the opportunity first came, I thought it was insane to move the entire family during this crazy and uncertain pandemic. After consulting with my family, I decided to say: yes, let’s go!

So far, it has been one of my best decisions. It’s a wonderful opportunity both professionally and personally, and I enjoy every moment of it.

What are wise words you live by?

Work hard with dedication, believe in yourself and be proud of what you do and who you are. And remember to always keep the taste for discovery and curiosity!
